Step 2 — Plan Your Layout
Before applying adhesive:
- Measure the wall carefully
- Check panel direction and alignment
- Plan joins and corner placements
- Dry-fit several panels to confirm the layout
Important Tip
Start installation from the most visible corner of the room and work outward for the best visual finish.
Step 3 — Measure & Cut Panels
Measure each section carefully before cutting.
Cutting Recommendations
- Use a utility knife for light trimming
- Use a circular saw with a fine-tooth blade for larger cuts
- Use a jigsaw for power outlets or detailed cuts
Important
Always measure twice before cutting.
Step 4 — Apply Adhesive
Apply a high-quality construction adhesive to the back of the panel using a zig-zag pattern.
Adhesive Placement
Apply adhesive:
- Around the perimeter
- Across the centre
- Near edges and corners
Avoid
- Excessive adhesive build-up
- Uneven adhesive application
- Gaps without adhesive support
Step 5 — Install the First Panel
Position the first panel carefully against the wall.
Check Alignment
Use a spirit level to ensure the panel is perfectly straight before continuing.
Press Firmly
Apply even pressure across the panel surface to ensure strong adhesion.
Important
The first panel sets the alignment for the entire installation.
Step 6 — Continue Installing Panels
Install the next panel by connecting it securely to the previous panel.
During Installation
- Ensure tight joins
- Check alignment regularly
- Wipe away excess adhesive immediately
- Use a rubber mallet gently if required
Continue across the wall until installation is complete.
